FOUNDER PROFILE

Gary Preston

Gary Preston co-founded Preston | Reffett with Bill Reffett in 2005. Prior to entering the executive search industry, Gary held the positions of Chief Human Resource Officer and Chief Administrative Officer for one of the country’s largest retailers. In his former role as Chief Human Resource Officer, Gary contracted with search firms across the nation and felt that the executive search industry was not as client focused and effective as it could be. A maverick in orchestrating business strategy and organizing talent around it, he and his partner built a high touch, client centered search practice that has quickly developed a solid reputation as one of the fastest growing privately held search firms in the country.

Gary speaks often on the topic of leadership and executive talent. He has served as an executive coach for emerging leaders, and has been a board member of both public and privately held companies. Gary holds a Masters of Science in Human Resources from Ohio State University.
